Question of the Day (from a friend from abroad): what has changed in Sg since I was here 1.5 yrs ago?

My response: trains breaking down more often? more human traffic? scandalous affairs by politicians?

anything else to add?

On the ground, people are also getting more agitated.

I hope 2601 had backed up his data. And the 6 rapists in India deserve a drawn-out execution like crucifixion, even before their victim passed away.

cassie SG

i just saw your tweet

The data is backed.

But now I cant remember how I got my *cough cough* MS office and adobe package to function.

So my com is now a functioning netbook.

Last news heard, the victim probably wont last long.....still I would hope she pulls through, then she can teach a lesson to those 6 beasts.

Edit: Unfortunately seems like she passed on already. RIP

Oh yes.

The SG Biz group is on front news today complaining about the govt policy of tightening foreign labour.

The interests of employers and employees will always be at odds with each other.

The other interesting news from TNP is the proposal to ban drinking along the sidewalks and on the bridges of the Singapore River. All the nightclub owners must be rubbing their hands in glee, since that means the end of drinking 7-Eleven beers on Read Bridge. That place makes me feel uneasy and people do all sorts of stupid things on it, but it shows what new Singapore is about - providing the wealthy with a playground while keeping out the have-nots.

I think we will eventually pay the price at an even steeper rate with our continued reliance on FDI.

Another case in India..... a 17 year old girl killed herself after the police failed to take action against her gang rapists. The police even told her to marry one of the attackers so that the case could be closed.

In this case, I'm in favour of putting all those cops in front of the firing squad along with those rapists.

The misogyny is unbelievable. These people deserve something more gory and drawn out like crucifixion or inpalement. That includes the women who support victim-blaming.

Who says that our education system is stifling?

FML from SG:

Today, my son told his teacher that she "has a nice rack." He's four. FML

Last day of an eventful year is upon us - it's been a year full of discovered extramarital indiscretions. Some people also made right tits of themselves (Todd Adkin, Mitt Romney and other GOP people) and great spectacles in sports.

Goodabye 2012, Hello 2013~~~

Its been a great year.

Did some things I had wanted to do, met some new people, reconnected with old friends, and laid out a path for the next year as well.

^Acid^ aka s|aO^eH~ SG

I've been reading up on kettlebell workouts and thinking of going into them. A little resolution for the new year.

But looking at the cost of a starter 12 - 16kg kettlebell..... yikes.

looking at you, i think most kettlebells are heavier than you.... but they are one of the better thingies to work out with provided you are not injured..
